Position: English Teacher
Reports to: Principal
Salary Range: $55,000 - $79,000
General Description: Provide instruction and support to guide students through the high school English curriculum.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop lessons related to the high school English curriculum
  • Deliver high-quality instruction related to the high school English curriculum
  • Provide academic support to students individually and in small groups
  • Review and grade student activities, assignments and assessments
  • Implement school curriculum in accord with district standards and requirements
  • Maintain and record weekly engagements with both in-person and virtual students
  • Maintain a classroom environment that is safe, well-ordered and conducive to student learning
  • Check student progress and understanding frequently through curriculum monitoring, group discussions/activities, and 1-1 conversations
  • Meet with students regularly to discuss their goals, needs and academic progress
  • Actively participate in subject-area Professional Learning Community
  • Follow additional directives and assignments given by the Principal
