ESTIMATED PAY RANGE

Technician I: $28.59-$32.87/hour

Technician II: $33.21-$38.20/hour

Technician III: $37.80-$43.48/hour

Senior Technician : $42.43-$48.80/hour

Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and alignment with role expectations. Paid overtime may be available.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician - Third Shift in West Bend, WI, you will:

  • Provide off‑shift engineering coverage to maintain throughput, quality, and equipment uptime
  • Respond to equipment, tooling, and process issues as first‑line engineering support
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks and minor tooling/die changes
  • Lead containment actions for quality issues and identify root causes for day‑shift follow‑up
  • Support new product trials, capability runs, and process validations during off‑shift hours
  • Coordinate with maintenance on downtime events and repair activities
  • Coach operators on SOP adherence, safety practices, 5S and Lean principles, and standard work
  • Document shift events, parameter changes, and open issues for day‑shift handoff
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners
  • Contribute to projects that impact communities in Newburg, Kohler, Germantown, Menomonee Falls, and Brookfield, and the greater Northern Milwaukee metro area
  • Apply your skills in a dynamic environment that values ownership and innovation
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of experience as an engineering technician or skilled‑trade professional in manufacturing
  • Experience in metal fabrication environments (stamping, forming, buffing/sanding, press operations, CNC, etc.)
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and basic controls issues
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance routines, work orders, and lockout/tagout procedures
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs, and standard operating procedures
  • Capable of performing basic time studies and collecting shift‑level data (cycle time, scrap, downtime)
  • Strong written documentation skills for logs, downtime reporting, and handoff notes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and comfort using shop‑floor tablets and ERP/MES systems
  • Self‑directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Associate's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent shop‑floor experience
  • Fanuc robotics programming experience (training available if needed)
  • Lean Manufacturing / 5S experience preferred
  • Ability/previous experience working 3rd shift (11pm–7am)
