Title: Engineering Technician
Location: Pflugerville, TX
Hire Type: Contract to hire
Shift : 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:15pm)
Compensation: 20.5/h

Position Overview

We are seeking an Engineering Technician to support engineering development, testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities in a manufacturing environment. This role involves performing complex engineering tests, analyzing results, assisting with product development, and supporting engineers with hardware and software testing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering tests, system checkouts, troubleshooting, and development activities.
  • Analyze test data, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collect and document test results, procedures, and recommendations for product improvements.
  • Review blueprints, schematics, specifications, and project instructions to determine testing requirements.
  • Build, modify, and assemble mechanical and electrical components, assemblies, and test fixtures.
  • Set up and execute testing of products, components, and systems under operational conditions.
  • Evaluate test results against design specifications and make necessary equipment adjustments.
  • Maintain test equipment, software, and documentation to current revisions and standards.
  • Assist engineers in developing hardware and software solutions for product testing.
  • Train technicians and operators on products, equipment, and testing procedures.
  • Organize and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, schematics, and procedures.
  • Perform testing according to customer requirements and specifications.
  • Support customer interactions, presentations, and third-party development projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience performing product testing, troubleshooting, validation, or engineering support activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical and/or electrical assemblies, test equipment, and laboratory environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical reporting.
