Are you comfortable working with hands-on mechanical or electromechanical equipment-or excited to grow those skills with support and training?
Join our growing North American Service Team as an Engineering Technology Instructor, where you'll help build the skills and safety awareness of engineers and customers working with advanced conveyor and sortation systems.
About the Role
In this instructor role, your primary focus is teaching and training. You'll deliver engaging classroom sessions, hands-on demonstrations, and practical labs covering the mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components of our automated systems.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical or electromechanical background who enjoys sharing knowledge and working hands-on with industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver technical training (approx. 30% classroom, 70% hands-on) to internal teams and customers.
  • Teach maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and safe operation of mechanical and electromechanical equipment.
  • Conduct practical demonstrations using industrial conveyor and sortation systems.
  • Adapt training content to different learning styles and experience levels.
  • Support the setup and growth of our new training center in Marietta, GA.

Your team
  • Based in Marietta, GA, our North American HQ supports projects across the US, Canada, and Mexico.
  • The new training center will serve as the North American hub for technical training, aligned with our global training organization in The Netherlands.

What We're Looking For
  • Education or Experience: Associate's or bachelor's degree in electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering Technology. Or 3+ years of hands-on experience as a field service or maintenance technician working with mechanical or electromechanical systems.
  • Technical Background: Experience in the installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting of mechanical or electromechanical equipment-ideally in industrial or automation environments.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in automated machinery, conveyors, robotics, or industrial equipment is a plus but not required.
  • Controls Knowledge: Exposure to control systems or industrial software is a plus, though not required.
  • Training & Communication: Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Instructional Experience: Prior experience delivering technical training, coaching, or mentoring is highly desirable.
  • Digital Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel); experience with e-learning platforms or digital training tools is a bonus.

Additional Requirements
  • Ability to deliver a demo lesson as part of the selection process.
  • Comfort working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Must pass a background check to access secured customer sites.

Travel Expectations
  • Up to 30% travel annually, mostly within the continental US.
  • Higher travel expected during the first year for onboarding and training center development.
  • Occasional international travel may be required.
