Starting salariesgenerally fallbetween the minimum and midpoint of the range. Each offer depends on the candidate's experience and qualifications, internal pay equity, and available budget. Salary offers are negotiated individually based on these factors.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Join our team as an Engineering Technician III, whereyou'lltake a lead role in producing high-quality Civil 3D designs and supporting complex roadway and utility projects across theCity. In this senior technical position,you'llprepare construction plans, perform field inspections, complete engineering calculations, and collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and project partners. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

This position is open until filled, with first consideration given to those applicants who apply prior to August 19, 2026.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Associate Degree in Engineering Technology,CADDor related field

• Five (5) years' experience in civil engineering, electrical engineering, engineering technology, construction inspection, or utility projects

Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driver's license.

• Obtain Flagger Certification within six (6) months of hire andmaintainfor duration in position.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Recent civil design experience using Civil3d to produce utility androadwayconstruction plans consistent with City standards and best engineering practices.
