We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Engineering Technician within our Permian Resources Drilling Team, based in Midland, Texas.

Description:

  • Work with OpenWells, the D&C reporting tool of record, to maintain an accurate database of operations. The work will include setting up wells, supporting the drilling teams during operations and ensuring wells are accurately closed out.
  • Track operations across the rig fleet to ensure NPT (Non-Productive Time) events are entered correctly.
  • Provide data, information, and support to both engineering and field operations staff and management.
  • Input and maintain the Drilling Schedule for communication to other functional teams.
  • The role includes creating and utilizing spreadsheets and databases, screening and analyzing data, and generating plots, efficiency calculations, and use of other analytical tools

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or at least 2 years of applicable industry experience
  • Proficient at extracting, manipulating, correcting, and analyzing data.
  • Effective team player who takes an active role in team responsibilities
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong Excel skills, familiarity with basic Excel tools such as VLOOKUP function and PivotTables
  • Basic understanding of Drilling operations is a benefit, but not necessary.
  • Familiarity with OpenWells and Landmark Software is a benefit, but not necessary.
