JOB TITLE: Engineering Project Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: B171 - Sales

REPORTS TO: Engineering Manager

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

STATUS: Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Engineering Project Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the completion of projects. The status of projects will be reported weekly to management and expected to be delivered on time and within budget.

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create project scopes, objectives, and budgets working directly with sales and engineering.
  • Generate project schedules and track progress against major milestones.
  • Schedules engineering work and interfaces with customers for approval.
  • Interface with production planning, manufacturing, and operations to facilitate equipment preparation.
  • Support manufacturing personnel as required.
  • Support the production team during equipment installations.
  • Reviews equipment specification sheets and sales orders to ensure all necessary components have been ordered at the onset of project.
  • Coordinate equipment shipments and their respective details.
  • Schedule and monitor installation activities. Facilitates any on-site travel and per diem issues.
  • Report status (schedules, budgets, technical issues) to management on a regular basis.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

GENERAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow proper safety procedures and safeguard others’ safety at all times, understanding the obligation to refuse to perform any tasks that are unsafe.
  • Maintain high levels of file management practices.
  • Accept travel assignments, including to foreign countries.
  • Accept job assignments from Manager for any type of work for which the employee is deemed qualified.
  • Accept other duties as assigned including working in other departments or locations.
  • To meet the demands and deadlines of projects, overtime may be required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • 3+ years related experience
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Proven ability to manage project scope, schedule, and budget in a technical environment
  • Demonstrated team coordination skills
  • Must be detail-oriented, analytical, and computer literate with proven leadership skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction, manufacturing, and installation practices/techniques
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, processes, and product/project lifecycle management
  • Strong 2D/3D CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Teams)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Capable of lifting 25 pounds
  • Capable of using hand and power tools
  • Capable of working on feet for the entire shift
  • Capable of working in temperature and non-temperature-controlled environment
  • Capable of climbing, bending, squatting, and reaching above shoulder height
  • Capable of working around moving equipment and machinery
  • Capable of working around chemical products using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment
  • Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus

*The pay range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 annually. Salary information is a general guideline only.
