Job description

A leading energy company is hiring a Project Manager - Traditional Power and Renewables to join their team in Madison, WI or Houston, TX. This role offers a potential hybrid / on-site Mon–Thu work arrangement. The position focuses on supporting high-voltage transmission and substation infrastructure projects.


Project Manager - Traditional Power and Renewables Responsibilities:

  • Oversee engineering project execution by managing schedules, deliverables, procurement, and performance tracking.
  • Support development of project cost estimates and schedule plans, while monitoring project progress and identifying risks.
  • Maintain and track engineering deliverables, ensuring milestones are met and dependencies are properly managed.
  • Coordinate procurement activities by tracking requisition and engineering completion.
  • Facilitate change order processes, ensuring proper documentation and scope adjustments.


Project Manager - Traditional Power and Renewables Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of project management experience supporting engineering projects.
  • Prior experience supporting energy infrastructure, especially high-voltage transmission or substations, is preferred.
  • Proficiency with project management software such as Oracle Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
