Job description

The Project Manager III is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects and procurement activities to ensure delivery within scope, schedule, and budget. This role works closely with engineering and technical leadership to translate design requirements into actionable plans, actively manage schedules and interfaces, mitigate risks, and drive disciplined project execution. The ideal candidate brings strong engineering knowledge, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure predictable and successful project outcomes.
Location: Camden, NJ (Onsite)
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary responsible leader and manage the overall planning and execution for delivery of specific projects within the Pioneer 1 & 2 delivery program, that align with areas of experience and qualifications
  • Develop project plans, budgets, schedules, and progress reporting.
  • Coordinate engineering, business development, fabrication teams, procurement, quality, suppliers, and senior management for project responsibilities.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and reporting for project activities and updates.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Ensure project activities meet standards, NRC regulations, and quality guidelines.
  • Lead projects through technical issues and challenges, providing solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Support timely resolution of fabrication, procurement, and construction issues with engineering and quality teams to ensure continued progress.
  • Assist in development, maintenance and control of project-specific plans and procedures needed for the efficient execution of the project.
  • Periodic travel is required (10 - 15%).

Requirements:
  • Onsite with flexible schedule and accommodation for limited travel.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of project management experience in commercial power, large-scale construction, or engineered equipment supply.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project scheduling and planning using tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of engineering-to-fabrication workflows and supplier interfaces.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ability to identify schedule, fabrication, and supply chain risks and drive timely resolution and other complex problem troubleshooting.
  • U.S Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with U.S. NRC Regulation relating to commercial nuclear units.
  • MS in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, P6).
  • Working knowledge of commercial power plant components.
  • Practical understanding of fabrication and construction processes.
  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
