Job description

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

This position supports Entergy Texas distribution reliability team by managing all reliability project aspects including coordinating schedules, managing budget and ensuring efficiency in all steps.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish project schedules, and track and control project costs and schedules to meet budgets and critical milestones.
  • Prepare and conduct management review meetings at critical milestones. Maintain current information on project status in all relevant division and accounting databases.
  • Resolve project conflicts that affect cost, schedule, or customer satisfaction, and develop appropriate action and recovery plans. Ensure that the project team utilizes the Capital Projects Process in the development and implementation of capital projects
  • Manage a portfolio of reliability projects. Accountable for the coordination of and communication to all project resources, both internal and external.
  • Communicate resource status to functional managers and jointly develop contingency plans. Ensure timely closeout of projects, including all required documentation. Provide feedback to functional management on team members' individual performance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Management or equivalent (4 year degree required).

Minimum experience required of the position

5+ years of experience in customer service, engineering or operations. 

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.  Must possess a working knowledge of utility rates, regulatory issues, company policy, construction of new facilities and contract requirements, and have the ability to prioritize opportunities based on probability of success and profitability. Must be an excellent verbal and written communicator, able to effectively develop and present sales proposals to prospective customers.
