Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Field Service Technician to join our team in the water treatment and gate manufacturing industry. This role involves up to 50% travel to customer sites for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of water control gates and valves and their manual, electric and hydraulic actuators. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with project management, engineering, and manufacturing/production teams to ensure seamless service delivery and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair water control gates and valves and their operating systems at client locations.

• Conduct system testing, calibration, and adjustments to ensure optimal performance.

• Work closely with engineering teams to provide feedback on equipment performance and suggest solutions

• Collaborate with project management teams to ensure project timelines and customer expectations are met.

• Coordinate with manufacturing/production teams to understand product specifications and assist in quality assurance.

• Modify standard training materials and O&Ms for specific equipment.

• Develop materials for presentations and handouts.

• Provide training and technical support to customers on proper equipment usage and maintenance.

• Document service visits, work performed, and any necessary follow-ups in service reports.

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies while working on-site.

• Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism during all interactions.

• Manage service tools and equipment inventory efficiently.

• Provide solutions to all site issues by collaborating with engineering, and manufacturing/production teams and project management team.

Qualifications:

• High school Diploma or GED Equivalent required Associate’s or technical certification a plus.

• Valid driver’s license (required) with a clean driving record.

• 3+ years of experience in field service, maintenance, or technical support, preferably in water treatment or industrial gate manufacturing.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.

• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

• Ability to work independently and manage travel schedules efficiently.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration.

• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.

• Physical ability to work in confined spaces and at heights a must

• Eligibility to obtain US Passport (required in the case of international travel)

• Experience with electric controls, motors, hydraulic power units, a plus

Working Conditions:

• This role requires 50% US-based travel including overnight stays, to customer locations and 5% international travel.

• Work is conducted in industrial, manufacturing, and outdoor settings, requiring adherence to strict safety guidelines.

• When not traveling, the technician will collaborate with internal teams at the company’s manufacturing facility and work on assembling equipment under shop manager supervision
