Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
- Communication: Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients, architects, and other stakeholders.
- Quantity Takeoff: Perform highly detailed and accurate digital takeoffs for preconstruction estimates, as well as throughout the lifecycle of active projects.
- Cost Estimation: Create comprehensive, detailed, and accurate estimates from concept to construction documents.
Technical Estimating: Utilize estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, and other industry tools to perform digital quantity takeoffs and cost analysis efficiently.
- Value Engineering: Collaborate with project teams to explore value engineering opportunities and optimize project costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Construction Scheduling: Develop detailed, digital critical path project schedules in conjunction with the estimating process.
- Bidding & Contract Processes: Analyze project documents, specifications, and architectural drawings to identify project requirements and manage competitive bid processes. Audit proposals and properly execute contracts.
- Project Management Support: Assist project managers in budget management and scheduling efforts.
The Ideal Candidate Should Possess:
- Proven track record as a lead estimator in custom residential construction (Minimum of five years' experience).
- Extensive custom residential project management experience.
- Proficiency in digital estimating tools such as On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, and other industry software for estimating and project analysis.
- Strong ability to interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Advanced expertise with digital estimating programs and the ability to complete detailed and accurate takeoffs efficiently.
- Advanced skills in Excel spreadsheet development and data analysis, including formatting functions, formula development, and graphing.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Advanced understanding of all trades, from foundation to finish.
- A dynamic, collaborative personality to work closely with project managers to execute high-quality projects.
- Five years of field experience preferred before moving into estimating roles.
- A Bachelor's degree in construction management is welcomed but not required.

Schedule:
