IT Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Manager leads the planning and execution of cross-functional technology and business initiatives from initiation through closure. This role partners with business and IT stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within scope, and at the expected level of quality while proactively managing risks, issues, dependencies, communications, and project governance. Success in this role requires strong organization, effective communication, sound judgment, and the ability to build collaborative relationships across business and technology teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Execution & Delivery

  • Manage day-to-day execution of one or more complex projects from initiation through closure.
  • Lead coordination of cross-functional activities to ensure deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and at the expected level of quality.
  • Identify, document, monitor, and communicate project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and action items.
  • Drive issue resolution, follow up on commitments, and escalate concerns as appropriate.
  • Support project onboarding, testing, implementation, deployment, and project closeout activities.
  • Maintain project documentation, status reports, meeting materials, and executive-ready communications.
  • Monitor project scope and support change control activities to ensure alignment with approved project objectives.

Project Planning & Coordination

  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and dependency tracking.
  • Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, and decision-making discussions.
  • Coordinate project activities across cross-functional teams.
  • Evaluate project workflows and recommend process improvements.

Stakeholder Communication & Governance

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with business, IT, and vendor partners.
  • Communicate project status, risks, decisions, and milestones to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Facilitate alignment across cross-functional teams to drive timely decisions.
  • Develop and maintain project dashboards, presentations, metrics, and status reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with PMO standards, project governance, and documentation requirements.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree, or equivalent experience.
  • PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
  • 5-8+ years of project management experience leading cross-functional technology and business initiatives.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Experience working with business and technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Experience with project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and OneNote.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Visio, Planner, SharePoint, and other Microsoft 365 collaboration tools preferred.
  • Experience with project management and work management tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in creating project schedules, dashboards, reports, presentations, and project documentation.
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled productivity tools to improve project planning, documentation, communication, and reporting preferred.

The salary range for this opportunity is $106,000 - $135,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
