Precision Industrial is seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager - Engineering to join our growing team. This role combines technical engineering expertise with project management leadership to oversee industrial construction and mechanical engineering projects from concept through completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong engineering knowledge, construction management experience, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced industrial environment.

The Project Manager - Engineering will be responsible for planning, coordinating, designing, budgeting, and managing projects while maintaining strong communication with clients, vendors, field teams, and leadership. This position plays a critical role in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage industrial construction and mechanical engineering projects from initial planning through final completion
  • Review owner plans, specifications, and contract documents to develop comprehensive project scopes and execution plans
  • Coordinate project scheduling, procurement, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Design, develop, and review mechanical systems, layouts, and production processes
  • Review and verify project drawings, submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders for accuracy and compliance
  • Develop and implement process improvements to maximize efficiency and reduce waste
  • Conduct site investigations and evaluate project conditions prior to project execution
  • Monitor project progress, costs, schedules, and quality standards throughout all phases of construction
  • Collaborate with clients, vendors, engineers, field personnel, and leadership teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Prepare material and equipment lists, cost analyses, estimates, and purchase orders
  • Assist with estimating and proposal development for upcoming projects
  • Troubleshoot technical and operational issues while providing effective solutions
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards, engineering standards, and industry regulations
  • Provide technical guidance, leadership, mentoring, and support to engineers, project teams, and field personnel
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide excellent customer service throughout project lifecycles
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices


Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 510 years of experience in industrial construction, mechanical engineering, or project management
  • Experience in heavy industrial environments preferred, including pulp & paper, corrugated, food processing, or manufacturing industries
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, piping, instrumentation, and industrial processes
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Procore and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional analytical and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to travel as needed for project support and site visits
  • Ability to work from headquarters in Woodland, WA
