Overview

As a Civil Engineering Project Manager/Senior Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Cincinnati, OH office, you will be responsible for client and project management, including the technical and financial management aspects of projects. You will also have the opportunity to participate in business development activities with senior leaders. We have openings for project managers across multiple industries, including commercial and industrial land development, oil and gas, and renewable energy. Working with Principals in the Civil/Site Practice, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand and help them achieve their goals. You will also represent the company at conferences, events, project meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and other project stakeholders.

You will work closely with other CEC professionals locally and across the country to build business relationships, maintain client relationships, and apply best practices to address client needs. You will also work closely with your Principal and junior staff to develop project schedules, assemble a project team, and assign tasks for the project, often times coordinating with several practices (i.e. survey, geotechnical, traffic, environmental, ecological, and other practices). You will maintain involvement throughout the design of the project, mentoring junior and mid-level staff in the proper planning, design, permitting, and execution of projects, and you will conduct technical reviews of client deliverables.

Qualifications
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Civil or Environmental) or related degree
  • 7+ years of relevant design and permitting experience, including earth disturbance and stormwater permits, and the municipal approval process
  • Professional Engineering License (P.E.)
  • Civil design and permitting experience related to site layout, grading, stormwater, and erosion and sediment control is required
  • Familiarity with the Ohio regional marketplace and environmental regulatory agencies is required
  • Active engagement in trade organizations and/or familiarity working in PA, WV, KY, and IN (prefered)
  • Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multi-discipline projects. For example, a project that includes survey, environmental, geotechnical, and construction phase services
  • Ability and desire to mentor junior staff
