Giffels Webster has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Oakland County office located in Birmingham, Michigan. As a Project Manager you will work on municipal improvement projects, infrastructure design and project planning for the municipal clients we represent.


The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently on various engineering projects and assist a wide variety of client types from architects, developers, property owners, real estate professionals, lawyers and municipalities. You will work directly with our clients, leading the team toward the successful completion of the project. You will work in a team environment, leading project engineers and technicians on a variety of tasks.


Typical responsibilities include:

  • Successful delivery of civil engineering services
  • Coordinating with managers of other disciplines
  • Facilitates and manages the overall civil engineering services of a project
  • QA/QC
  • Leads staff and oversees their workload
  • Coordinates design with other departments all while maintaining the client relationship
  • Manage project schedules and prepare monthly invoices
  • Ensure all aspects of our projects are properly completed and profitable

Requirements


Minimum qualifications:

  • You have an engineering degree from an ABET accredited university or equivalent amount of applicable experience
  • At least 5 years of professional engineering experience
  • Must have experience in AutoCAD software
  • Experience working with Municipal projects

Preferred qualifications:

  • PE licensure in Michigan (or seeking to obtain)
  • Experience in Civil3D
  • Experience with water and sanitary design
  • Experience in WaterCAD or WaterGems
  • Experience working with MDOT Local Agency Programs
