Job description

The Engineering Project Manager oversees multiple engineering projects across various phases of the project life cycle. Each day involves monitoring engineering and design progress, ensuring timely release of component demand, tracking requisitions and purchase orders, reviewing actual costs versus budget, updating schedules, attending project reviews, and coordinating deliveries. A critical aspect of the role is proactive client communication, including managing schedule changes and promptly addressing questions or concerns to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple Modernization, Upgrade, Inspection, and Repair projects through execution and warranty phases.
  • Coordinate with engineering, design, manufacturing, supply chain, third-party suppliers, and customers to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Track and report project schedules, cost, revenue, and EBIT performance to senior management.
  • Identify project risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Review actual cost vs. budget, update project schedules, and ensure on-time delivery (OTD).
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to risk, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Support domestic and international travel as required, including site visits for complex projects.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business, or Project Management; PMI or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Project Management/Project Lead experience in engineering or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong customer-focused mindset with proven ability to multitask in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project.
  • Extensive experience with steam turbine design fundamentals, turbomachinery, manufacturing processes, BOM structures, engineering drawings, assembly, and repair methods.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship required.
