Job description

The Program Manager leads a cross-functional Program Team to achieve defined business objectives and customer requirements according to the Solero Technologies Product Development Process. The Program Manager is accountable for the performance and success of the Program Team without any direct organizational reporting relationship.

The Program Manager may be assigned to multiple Program types;

  • New business pursuits
  • New product or new business launches
  • Current production applications


The Program Manager must work at all levels, internal and external to Solero, to ensure successful Program execution.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Accountable for successful Program execution

  • Manages and executes the Program based on the Solero Product Development Process to meet defined metrics
  • Lead the Product Development Team to insure coordinated implementation of Product changes at Solero or at suppliers.
  • Drives accountability and action within the Program Team

Leadership

  • Leads cross-functional Program Team to achieve success based on Solero metrics and customer requirements
  • Drives consistently positive dynamics and interactions within the Program Team
  • Organizes and facilitates team meetings at the necessary frequency
  • Communicates effectively
  • Bases communication in a fundamental understanding of Solero and customer norms, values, and expectations

  • Represents Solero credibly and confidently in front of all levels of the customer organization
  • Champions the customerโ€™s needs within Solero

Possesses a high level of product and process knowledge

  • Applies a high level of product knowledge including design, specifications, applications, and system integration
  • Applies a high level of relevant manufacturing knowledge including Solero processes, supplier processes, capital equipment and tooling

Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, engineering, or related discipline required
  • 5+ yearsโ€™ experience in business, engineering, or manufacturing (automotive driveline or powertrain preferred)
  • Product and process launch experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience and training
  • Effective, professional verbal and written communication skills to interface with all levels within Solero, external customers, and suppliers
  • Proficient in computer skills for industry standard word processing, spreadsheet, intranet, and PLM software
  • Travel requirements depend upon Program assignment(s)
