Description
Lead Operations Launch Activities
Ensure successful launches by developing tools to track launch readiness to customer deliverables, launch metrics versus business case
Ensure PDP is followed for all launches, including MSD workshops and Zero Defect Launch process
Manage the Lead Operations and Industrial Engineering Group (LOE and IE) and Change Management Process
Develop direct reports
Ensure that all program deliverables are met prior to accepting the program from Corporate
Coordinate competing interests for plant resources (skilled trades, floor space, operators, CMM, kaizen team, engineers, etc.)
Resolve issues between the plant and outside functional groups.
Position Requirements
REQUIRED:
Strong manufacturing background
Launch and LOE Management Experience
Management experience of multiple discipline teams
Knowledge of application of lean principles, quality improvement processes, manufacturing process, and production management systems
Knowledge of basic mechanical concepts and practical application of technology
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees and drive improvements
Proficient in written and oral communication skills
PREFERRED:
Previous launch experience (Tier 1 Automotive)
5-7 years' experience in a Manager's Role
Operations/Engineering Manager's experience in supervising hourly and salary personnel
Education Requirement
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
