Job description

Leidos Defense Sector is seeking a talented Engineering Program Resource Manager candidate to join a multidisciplinary team to create unique solutions to complex engineering challenges in our Huntsville, AL location. We have offices across the United States that provide responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific, and IT solutions in the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields. The ideal candidate will thrive in a learning environment that encourages leadership and technical growth.

Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for planning, organizing, securing and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of goals and objectives for the Indirect Fire Protection Capability (IFPC) Inc 2 program. Duties include ensuring that the engineering team runs within technical scope, schedule, and budget constraints. This role interfaces with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel. The role supports the Program Manager and Chief Engineer to match scope, schedule, budget, and resources for multiple phases of the IFPC portfolio.

Basic Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Information Systems from an ABET-accredited institution and 12+ years of experience, or a Master's with 10+ years of experience.

  • Experienced reading engineering drawings

  • Project engineering experience required

  • Candidate must have 6+ years experience providing defense department systems to the government

  • Works closely with multi-disciplinary teams

  • Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment

  • Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA preferred

  • Previous program management experience

  • CAM Experience

  • Ability to tie proposed BOEs to required skills for execution
