We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Manager to join our team supporting the Persistent Surveillance Division. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and executing all aspects of program management to ensure successful delivery of program objectives. You will work closely with engineers, government contracting officers, and subcontractors, serving as the central point of coordination across stakeholders. You will also play a key role in overseeing the procurement process, ensuring alignment with program requirements, schedules, and compliance standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for the day-to-day management of a large Army acquisition program

  • Coordinate and oversee project activities, ensuring they align with program goals and objectives.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.

  • Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure project success.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including DoD clients, subcontractors, and team members.

  • Support the development and execution of risk management plans.

  • Prepare and present program status reports and briefings to senior management and DoD clients.

  • Ensure compliance with DoD regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment within the program team.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university plus 15 years of relevant experience in the defense industry or Masters with at least 13 years of relevant experience in the defense industry .

  • Proven experience in prototype development, test and support equipment development and operations and maintenance.

  • Strong technical background, with knowledge of engineering and manufacturing principles.

  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage complex projects, multitask, and prioritize effectively.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of professionals.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Experience in risk management, including the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to the project.

  • Experience working with government contracts and regulations.

  • Must be a US citizen possess and be able to maintain an active Secret security clearance.

  • Must be a resident of Huntsville, AL or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on a DoD acquisition program

  • Experience leading a team to Milestone C decision

  • Highly organized, demonstrating the ability to work independently at times due to fast-paced and highly productive work environment

  • Experience working on a radar program.

  • Background in engineering

  • Previous military experience

  • Ability to create design documentation, requirements specifications, and other technical documentation

  • Extensive understanding of defense acquisition process.
