Northrop Grumman Mission System's Engineering and Sciences (E&S) Baltimore and Partnered Sites (BaPs) Division is seeking an Advanced Battle Management (ABM) Execution Lead to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be located in Baltimore,MD and is a full-time on-site position.
What You'll Get to Do:
The individual will be the direct liaison to the Advanced Battle Management (ABM) Operating Unit Director within the Advanced Mission Capabilities (AMC) Business Unit. The position will lead a crossfunctional team of Chief Engineers, Engineering Program Managers, System Architects, and SEIT Leads. It will own endtoend program execution across the operating unit, while collaborating closely with both Engineering Discipline leadership and Program Management. Additionally, the incumbent will collaborate closely with Manufacturing, SupplyChain, and MissionAssurance to ensure that key program milestones are met on schedule. Reporting to the Engineering Execution Lead, this role will be accountable for technical performance, staffing, rootcause analysis, engineering metrics, process rigor, proposal support, C101 signoff, and the development of CEACs for all programs within the operating unit.

  • Lead a cross-functional engineering team during proposal, design, manufacturing, and delivery phases of products in development and production phases

  • Support proposal development and new program acquisition efforts

  • Interpret statements of work assigned by program leadership

  • Develop and execute to project budgets and schedules, including Earned Value Management System (EVMS), critical path management, Estimates-at-Completion (EACs), and workload forecasts

  • Interface with functional departments to secure team staffing

  • Work with suppliers and be able to articulate project requirements

  • Brief internal and customer leadership on progress of work assigned

  • Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) managing Earned Value Management System (EVMS) projects

  • Perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings.

  • Lead or support department initiatives, technology roadmap creation, cross-campus/sector involvement, and IRAD project leadership.


This position is contingent upon the successful transfer of an active U.S Government Secret Clearance.
Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years of experience, a Master's degree with 8 years of experience, or a PhD with 6 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or other related technical fields.

  • A current/active U.S Government Secret Clearance.

  • Experience as a Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, Technical lead, or other leadership role in a program office or business function with demonstrated team building, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in the hardware Design, Manufacturing and Test process.

  • Radar technology background with sensors development, implementation, and production experience.

  • Knowledge of staffing and engineering metrics, processes, and tools.

  • Experience with developing and executing project schedules.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields.

  • Active U.S Government Top Secret/SCI Clearance or higher.

  • High proficiency in technical problem solving to include decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, implementation and monitoring, as well as experience in engineering leadership and support across multiple program phases.

Experience in functional management of an engineering organization.

Primary Level Salary Range: $184,300.00 - $276,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
