Location: Bedford, NH Salary: $140,000.00 USD Annually - $160,000.00 USD Annually Description:
Quality Engineering Manager opportunity with a growing aerospace and defense manufacturer.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the quality function while partnering closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to ensure compliance with customer requirements and quality standards. The position offers the opportunity to lead quality initiatives, mentor team members, and drive continuous improvement efforts across the organization.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage Quality Engineering and Quality Assurance activities
  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (AS9100)
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support Engineering and Operations to ensure compliance with customer specifications, drawings, and quality flow-down requirements
  • Oversee internal, customer, and third-party audits
  • Manage nonconformance and supplier quality activities
  • Review and approve quality documentation, inspection plans, and customer deliverables
  • Develop and maintain quality procedures, standards, and training materials
  • Mentor and develop quality team members while fostering a culture of quality across the organization
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • 8+ years of Quality Engineering experience within aerospace, defense, electronics, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
  • Previous leadership or management experience within a quality organization
  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and quality management systems
  • Experience with CAPA, root cause analysis, audits, supplier quality, and nonconformance management
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
  • Experience with inspection and metrology equipment; CMM experience is a plus
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance
