Job description

About the PositionThe East Kentucky Case Manager supports ASP’s home repair, new build construction, and disaster recovery programs in East Kentucky. This role ensures efficient case management, compliance with grant requirements, and coordination with staff, families, and community partners to deliver timely and compassionate housing solutions. This is a full-time exempt position based in Hazard, KY, reporting to the East Kentucky Regional Director.  
Job ResponsibilitiesCase Management
  • Promote ASP by attending community services outreach meetings.
  • Maintain accurate digital and physical case files and records
  • Guide families through application, vetting, and selection processes.
  • Coordinate homeowner communication, paperwork, and customizations.
  • Maintain a steady pipeline of qualified applicants.
  • Share homeowner stories with Advancement for fundraising.
  • Assist with dedication ceremonies and other homeowner engagement activities.
Grant Compliance
  • Track and support grant reporting and compliance.
  • Collect and manage documentation (e.g., income verification, photos).
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure team awareness.
  • Perform or coordinate environmental reviews.
  • Collaborate with Accounting for reimbursement submissions.
Field Operations & Administrative Support
  • Support readiness of ASP’s East Kentucky Hub for construction and disaster response.
  • Communicate effectively with other ASP departments and field teams.
  • Assist in local Summer Home Repair Program planning and operations.
  • Keep procedure manuals current.
  • Support the development and delivery of community trainings on disaster recovery.
  • Participate in evaluations, budgeting, and ongoing training.
  • Collaborate with other departments and fulfill additional duties as needed.
QualificationsRequired: 
  • Willingness to work in a Christian environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort speaking publicly
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to quickly learn new software and technology platforms
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
  • Experience in grant compliance or case management 
Desired: 
  • Associate degree or higher in social work or a related field 
  • Experience in a home repair or nonprofit construction organization
  • Experience in service delivery in service area (East Kentucky)
  • Experience in volunteer-based and/or seasonal programming
  • Experience with regional coalition/network involvement
Other Requirements: 
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that is acceptable to ASP’s insurer
  • Regional travel is expected
  • This role may require occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work
  • Satisfactory results on a background check
