Maintenance Manager

Join Our Team

Mayco International is seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving equipment reliability, maximizing uptime, leading skilled maintenance teams, and supporting overall plant performance.

We are looking for a strong leader who thrives in a high-volume manufacturing setting and has experience with injection molding equipment, preventive maintenance systems, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Do

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and develop Maintenance and Automation Supervisors and team members
  • Build a culture focused on safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Partner cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Engineering, Materials, HR, and Operations teams

Equipment Reliability & Maintenance

  • Oversee maintenance and repair activities for plant equipment, machinery, robotics, and facility systems
  • Lead major repairs, shutdowns, rebuilds, and capital improvement projects
  • Drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and lead root cause corrective actions
  • Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently

Systems, Planning & Cost Control

  • Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and contractor support
  • Maintain maintenance records, PM systems, and work order tracking
  • Monitor KPIs related to uptime, downtime, PM completion, and maintenance costs
  • Support equipment upgrades, modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA / MIOSHA safety standards and company policies
  • Enforce lockout/tagout, machine guarding, electrical safety, PPE, and safe work practices
  • Support environmental compliance and housekeeping standards throughout the facility

Qualifications

  • Journeyman certification or equivalent skilled trades experience preferred
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or related field preferred
  • 6–8 years of maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing preferred
  • 8–10 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience
  • Experience in injection molding manufacturing strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, robotics, conveyors, chillers, and industrial equipment
  • Experience with CMMS systems such as E-Maintenance or similar platforms
  • Strong troubleshooting, leadership, communication, and project management skills
