Job description

OVERALL GOALS

  • Support the implement improvement or expansion projects on-time and on-budget with minimal supervision.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement by working with Plant and Engineering Personnel.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Utilize physical measurement devices to make sure dimensions in CAD drawings are accurate, including lengths, valve positions, pipe diameters, etc.
  • Design and optimize systems intended for industrial purposes, such as the layout of HVAC systems and oil heating systems, utilizing CAD software
  • Perform calculations (power, fluid flow through a pipe, etc) to establish installation standards.
  • Put in purchase order (PO) requests while making sure projects stay within budget and organize digital engineering folders.
  • Identify and create spreadsheets for needed machine parts and wires.
  • Be aware of Aquafil's Recycling Guidelines and Environmental Management Systems Policy (see supervisor if further explanation is needed).

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITY

  • Computer literate, excellent spreadsheet skills, and proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Advanced problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • 2nd , 3rd or 4th year student pursuing a BS in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • At least a 3.2 GPA
