Jolkona is a nonprofit that brings high potential social entrepreneurs from emerging countries to Seattle for an intensive 3-week mentor-driven accelerator. These entrepreneurs are solving some of the most challenging societal issues in their communities. Our mentors include some of Seattle's best startup talent who prepare these founders to scale and engage with investors at home & abroad.

Job Description
This is an unpaid volunteer position.
Seattle Applicants Only.
We are looking for an SEO/SEM expert to help develop our search engine optimization and online marketing strategy.
You will be responsible for for developing rich, quality content for online sites. This includes managing all SEO activities such as content strategy, link building and keyword strategy to increase rankings on all major search networks. You will also manage all SEM campaigns on Google, Yahoo and Bing in order to maximize ROI and develop and maintain social media profiles on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Responsibilities
- Execute tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns
- Track, report, and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns
- Manage campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies.
- Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing
- Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
- Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations
- Research and analyze competitor advertising links
- Develop and implement link building strategy
- Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code
- Work with Executive Director to drive SEO in content creation and content programming
- Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords
- Establish an effective presence on social media sites
- Monitor our online reputation
- Approve or delete comments on blogs or articles
- Highlight and encourage positive comments
- Working with Program Manager and Executive Director to integrate other online presences including social media outlets with email campaigns
- Follow up on responses
- Solicit customer feedback and optimize campaigns accordingly
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Proven SEO experience
- Proven SEM experience managing PPC campaigns across Google, Yahoo and Bing.
- Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
- In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
- Experience with bid management tools (e.g., Click Equations, Marin, Kenshoo, Search Ignite)
- Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM

- Self-starter able to quickly adapt to new business environments with minimal supervision; strong work ethic and motivated to succeed and interested in earning significant responsibility
- Thrives in challenging situations
- Entrepreneurial by nature (experience with starting organizations helpful)
- Able to keep, maintain and coordinate multiple schedules and projects

Qualifications
• BS/MS degree in a quantitative, test-driven field
• Minimum 2 years work experience demonstrating skills required for the position
• Entrepreneurial/Startup experience would be valuable
