Job description

Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is searching for an Interior Design Manager in Rochester, NY; Albany, NY; Buffalo, NY; or Syracuse, NY. We are looking for Interior Designers for our Design Studio that have extensive experience in schematics and design development. The Design Manager will work in a collaborative environment leading programming, space planning, three-dimensional design, material palette/furniture selections and develop graphic narratives for client presentations. Strong presentation skills and proficiency in Revit, Sketchup, Enscape and Indesign are a requirement.


Responsibilities
  • Leading client through design process at weekly virtual review sessions.
  • Knowledge of health and building codes.
  • Accessibility analysis.
  • Coordinating with internal MEP and Structural Engineering staff.
  • Weekly QAQC reviews.
  • Assisting in the creation of construction drawing sets.
  • Shop Drawing and RFI review during construction administration phase.
  • Mentoring design staff.
  • Scheduling staff.
  • Manufacturer research.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture & 10-15 years+ of professional design experience.
  • Revit, Sketchup and Indesign proficiency is a requirement.
  • NCIDQ certification preferred.
  • Able to work closely with others.
  • Willingness to Travel.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
