What youโ€™ll do as an Engineering/Systems Sales Consultant:

  • Influence the entire chain of commerce.
  • Prospect, qualify, and generate profitable sales with new and existing accounts. Partner with the entire Sales org. and other teams to achieve results.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service in all interactions.
  • Up to 25% overnight travel.
  • Build and maintain a network of customer relationships, partnerships, and business contacts.
  • Establish relationships with engineers, architects, and contractors to get King Electricโ€™s products used as basis of design.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of King Electricโ€™s current product lines and new product offerings.
  • Easily identify and explain the ways in which our products and services are superior to our competitors.
  • Analyze market trends and work with leadership to develop sales strategies that actively target new business opportunities.
  • Recommend products based on the customer's application. Educate new and existing customers about new products, services, and enhancements that meet their business needs.
  • Solve customer problems and provide technical support for their heating applications.
  • Stay current on industry trends and project knowledge.
What you need to be successful:
  • 5 yearsโ€™ experience in consulting and/or engineering, preferably in HVAC or another technical field.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree, or higher, in Engineering or related technical field is required.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to speak clearly and persuasively in both positive and negative situations.
  • Experience with strategic selling methods; esp. Miller Heiman.
  • Experience using CRM tools; Zoho preferred.
  • Prior experience in HVAC industry/related and/or technical sales influencing engineers for BOD preferred.
  • Experience creating customized quotes to meet customer specifications.
  • Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to an ever-changing marketplace.
  • Advanced MS Office proficiency in Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Professional level English language abilities for written or spoken communications.
Pay & Benefits:
  • The full salary range for this position is $115,000-145,000 plus annual bonus, depending on direct professional experience, education, and otherย qualifications as well as market and business considerations.
