ENGINEERING CHANGE COORDINATOR

JOB SUMMARY:

Engineering Change Coordinator is responsible for coordinate between customer and Android/Avancez on all engineering changes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate between customer and Android/Avancez on all engineering changes.

  • Maintain accurate records on all changes and "break points".

  • Coordinate with the Android/Avancez PC/L Team as to material availability requirements.

  • Upon the completion of a change, work towards disposition of obsolete material.
  • Establish "break points" depending on material availability and obsolete costs.

  • Lead regularly scheduled “Engineering Change" meetings.

  • Update tooling and engineering documents as requested.

  • Develop reports as necessary for tracking and communicating changes.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Android customers and suppliers to ensure accurate data transfers.
  • Support launch activities by arranging and assisting with preproduction builds.
  • Create supporting documentation for launch activities and preproduction builds.
  • Order parts and tooling as needed to support launches. 
  • Supports all shifts as required.

  • All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

  • College Degree preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in automotive industry preferred. 

TRAVEL: 

  • Travel Required: Minimal


 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to and understands value of obtaining complete and accurate information in order to avoid decision making or results based on inaccurate information, resulting in program delays and unnecessary expenditure of resources.
  • Able to make sound management decisions based on information provided.
  • Excellent follow through skills and time management.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and create various documentation related to tooling and/or engineering.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization and with customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to explain new ideas and concepts so others will understand.
  • Must have basic PC/L knowledge and understanding of "record balances".
  • Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, Word and Power Point).
  • Have general knowledge of the manufacturing process.
  • Able to lead meetings.
  • Must have problem solving skills.
