Madonna University invites applications from graduate students seeking professional experience while pursuing their graduate degree. Administrative Graduate Assistants (Admin GAs) support the University’s operations, student engagement, and administrative services while developing leadership, organizational, and professional skills.

Assignments are available in administrative and student support offices across the University and are based on departmental needs and the applicant’s qualifications, experience, and interests.

Essential Responsibilities

Responsibilities vary by assignment and may include:

  • Support the daily operations of the assigned department.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating programs, events, and special projects.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling, data management, communications, and office operations.
  • Support student engagement, recruitment, retention, and campus programming.
  • Assist with marketing, outreach, customer service, and departmental communications.
  • For Athletics assignments, assist with team operations, practice planning, recruiting activities (in accordance with NAIA and University policies), game-day operations, travel coordination, equipment management, and student-athlete support under the supervision of the head coach.
  • Prepare reports, maintain records, and assist with departmental initiatives.
  • Perform other duties that support the operational mission of the assigned department.
Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must:

  • Be admitted to and enrolled in a Madonna University graduate degree program.
  • Maintain good academic standing throughout the appointment.
  • Enroll in a minimum of 6 graduate credit hours during the Fall and Winter semesters.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Be dependable, professional, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all University policies.
Compensation and Benefits
  • $13.73 per hour
  • Average of 15–20 hours per week
  • Up to 18 graduate credit hours of tuition waiver per academic year, subject to eligibility and University policy

Department Assignment

Administrative Graduate Assistants may be assigned to offices such as Athletics, Student Life, Admissions, Campus Ministry, Marketing and Communications, Institutional Advancement, Financial Aid, Human Resources, Academic Advising, and other administrative or student support units. Specific duties and reporting relationships will be provided at the time of appointment.
