Responsibilities

  • Regularly provide consultation to pro builders and retail distributors both on the phone and at customer location
  • Supervise drafters and/or EWP Customer Service Specialists, where appropriate
  • Initiate sales for engineered wood products and accessories i.e., joist hangers, etc. Conduct technical training seminars for applicators and location personnel.
  • Conduct dealer/contractor information meetings.
  • Procure and manages engineered wood inventory.
  • Prepare complex CAD and/or hand drawings for converting conventional floor and roof framing and competitor's engineered wood materials to Boise materials.
  • Consistently demonstrate a commitment to Total Quality and the process of continuous improvement
  • Identify and respond actively with sensitivity to the needs of all customers and be open and responsive to change.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • College, vocational, or specialized training/certification or equivalent experience.
  • Expert knowledge of CAD system, blueprint reading, and drafting.
  • Excellent math skills and communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of engineering terms and specifications.

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the building materials industry preferred.
