Summary: 

  • Leads Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) aspects of product design as integral part of product design team.

  • Applies broad knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices including statistical process controls for monitoring process robustness.

  • Oversees process qualification along with product qualification to ensure intrinsic quality is built into the product.

  • Performs material and resource planning and coordination to ensure production schedules are maintained.

  • Responsible for manufacturing workflow planning, resource planning, and production line capacity in conjunction with planned forecasts.

  • Responsible for solving complex technical problems in a timely fashion utilizing necessary resources.

  • Establishes how internal processes are developed and validated including ERP (Epicor) implementation.

  • Ensures producibility of products and robustness of processes throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Reads and generates blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams.

  • Applies proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent degree.

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant industry experience.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on engineering experience in a fabrication and assembly shop environment.

  • Ability to read and generate blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams.

  • Familiarity with basic material properties and in-process verification and validation.

  • Must be proficient in GD&T.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Experience with ERP systems (Epicor implementation preferred).

  • Experience with DFMA methodologies and statistical process controls.
