  • Root Cause Analysis/Production Support
  • Advanced Manufacturing Processes and Technologies
  • Value Added/Value Engineering (VA/VE) Activities
  • Continuous Improvement and Lean Activities
  • New Product Launch
  • Work closely with Operations and Manufacturing Engineering to support current and future manufacturing processes and products.

Essential Job Functions

  • Demonstrates SoundOff Signal’s Core Values in daily interactions with internal and external customers.
  • Responsible for carrying out assignments aimed at supporting Manufacturing Processes. Coordination of activities with other departments, such as Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Quality, Product Development and Materials. This position demands some knowledge of equipment and processes related to SMT, EA and Final Assembly equipment.

Root Cause Analysis/Production Support

  • Provide First-Responder Support for Production Issues
  • Assist Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality in Root Cause Analysis and Production Support
  • Develop Standard Work to Support Manufacturing and Maintenance Teams

Advanced Manufacturing Processes and Technologies

  • Support Innovation in Process and Design utilizing state-of-the-art assembly and design techniques.

Value Added/Value Engineering Activities

  • Support Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality with continuous improvement activities

Continuous Improvement and Lean Activities

  • Support and Identify Improvement Opportunities by using process data and key performance indicators.

New Product Launch

  • Support Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality with process selection and development.
  • Perform line changeovers between production runs.
  • Perform all aspects of setups including receiving of incoming reels in SMT.
  • Able to perform job consistently without excessive absenteeism or tardiness.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


  • High School diploma, Associate’s degree preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Environment
  • Previous AOI and SPI programming experience preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of overall functions and operations of a manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects at one time.
  • Ability to operate: PC, WORD, EXCEL, SolidWorks
  • Ability to operate stencil printer, SM placement equipment, offline loading station and systems, reflow oven equipment and any others as required.
  • Able to solder add on components.
  • Ability to travel on a limited basis.
  • Statistical Analysis/Root Cause Analysis
  • Knowledge of ISO:9001 Requirements

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Must be able to accurately handle and assemble small parts.
  • Able to stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, rotate and/or reach throughout an entire shift.
  • Must be able to handle and work with small parts.
