Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, New York, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Program Manager to lead and support assigned programs while ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction. This role directs, plans, formulates, coordinates, and manages cross-functional teams in engineering, procurement, manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, risk management, contracts, problem-solving, and process improvement. The Program Manager will act as the primary liaison with customers and suppliers, ensuring timely program execution, maintaining strong relationships, and driving results aligned with organizational goals.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 annually.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication, timely responses, and consistent customer satisfaction.
  • Direct and coordinate all program activities to meet contractual, cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and make recommendations on new and existing products, design changes, and manufacturing throughput to support program success and strengthen the company's competitive position.
  • Identify, investigate, and implement process improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, increase throughput, and improve organizational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing to resolve supplier issues, including traveling to suppliers to address technical challenges, design changes, and scheduling conflicts.
  • Support the development of new designs and products, identifying potential risks and ensuring proper risk management strategies are in place.
  • Provide program support to Sales and Marketing, including sales presentations, customer support, costing, forecasting, and status reporting.
  • Review and monitor engineering designs and drawing changes to ensure compliance with customer and engineering requirements.
  • Participate in or facilitate the Configuration Control Board to ensure all changes are thoroughly reviewed, approved, and properly implemented.
  • Foster strong internal and external relationships, emphasizing transparency, responsiveness, and collaboration.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of program or project management experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing industries.
  • Proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service and building long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex projects.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of contracts, risk management, and supply chain processes.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and program management tools.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is an asset.
