Job description

  • Serve as the primary connection between the Albany and New Jersey offices, promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing, and consistent project delivery.
  • Build trusted relationships with municipal clients, local agencies, internal teams, and firm leadership.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the Albany office's existing clients, projects, services, and operational workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to expand municipal engineering services by introducing additional Artheon capabilities, including inspection services, transportation, water resources, environmental, and civil engineering solutions.
  • Partner with leadership to support business development initiatives, grow existing client relationships, and pursue new municipal opportunities.
  • Help establish a sustainable revenue base by expanding services within existing accounts and developing new client relationships.
  • Lead and mentor a growing local team, beginning with a small group and expanding as the office continues to grow.
  • Support implementation of firm-wide processes, quality standards, project reviews, and operational best practices.
  • Coordinate resources across multiple offices to ensure successful project execution and responsive client service.
  • Monitor project performance, utilization, staffing, and resource needs while supporting long-term operational growth.
  • Represent Artheon professionally within the local municipal engineering community and foster relationships that strengthen the firm's presence throughout New York.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • NY Professional Engineer (PE) license or New Jersey should be willing to pursue reciprocal licensure as needed.
  • 7–15 years of experience in municipal engineering, civil engineering, program management, or a closely related field.
  • Experience working with municipalities, public agencies, or local government clients.
  • Broad understanding of municipal engineering services, including civil/site design, transportation, water resources, utilities, inspection services, or related disciplines.
  • Strong leadership and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple offices and technical teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify growth opportunities and contribute to business development efforts.
  • Experience leading projects, mentoring staff, or building teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and client management skills.
