We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Engineer to join our growing Connecticut team.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Under general supervision, of the Engineering Manager, performs designs of prestress/precast concrete products and associated plant designs as necessary, while meeting established timelines for completion of work and performing related work as required or assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • provide a safe, timely and efficient design
  • coordinate and communicate information to responsible parties

  • contribute to operational developments
  • build professional relationships

  • maintain company reputation
  • secure confidential and intellectual information
  • perform all occupational safety and hazard procedures in conjunction with all essential duties

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of:

  • the methods, practices, tools, material and equipment used in the work process
  • occupational hazards and proper safety precautions
  • code design criteria, record keeping and documentation procedures used in the Engineering process
  • the end product, including its use and tolerances
  • Coreslab policies and procedures relating to Engineering
  • Engineering design principles and methods in reinforced concrete

Skills in:

  • safe and efficient use of applicable equipment, machines and software used in the Engineering process
  • design of precast concrete products and related hardware

Ability to:

  • successfully direct a team of employees in the Engineering process
  • follow oral and written instruction
  • establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees

  • maintain professional and technical expertise

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Employee may be exposed to:

  1. moving mechanical/electrical parts and equipment
