Martin/Martin, Inc. is looking for a senior project engineer/manager to join our Civil Engineering Group in our Lakewood, Colorado office This senior-level engineer will primarily be focused on water and wastewater projects, including treatment for projects located in Colorado, the Southwest, across the U.S. and in international locations.


A typical work week includes project management, mentoring, engineering calculations, design development, site visits, etc. This position requires for interactions with owners, architects, contractors, etc.


Opportunity to work on premier projects in the Rocky Mountain Region, nationally and potentially internationally. Martin/Martin has been involved in water and wastewater projects with the National Park Service for over 30 years and has traveled across the U.S. and to Mexico and Antarctica for treatment related projects.

The Teamย 

Our civil engineering teams focus on site and infrastructure design, including leading projects such as the 16th Street Mall redesign in Denver.ย 


Examples Of Responsibilities:

  • Assist in master planning and conceptual design.
  • Assist in fee determination and proposal preparation.ย 
  • Assist with monitoring design budgets and project schedules.
  • Serve as point-of-contact with Clients, Contractors and other design disciplines.
  • Manage multiple engineering projects from start of design through completion of construction.
  • Manage and mentor a team of civil engineers and CAD technicians.
  • Attend project meetings during design and construction.
  • Provide quality-control check of work produced.
  • Provide project construction administration support including shop drawing review, responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), and field observations.
  • Monitor project budgets and reviews and/or approves invoicing to clients.
  • Works overtime, when necessary.ย 

Requirements


Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum.
  • 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater treatment.
  • Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to work in the Denver area. Relocation reimbursement may be provided, depending on the role and job function.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Colorado or ability to obtain one within 3 months.ย 

Desired

  • Master's degree in Environmental Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in water/wastewater treatment.
  • 5 years' experience with Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Knowledge or proficiency with Civil3D, FlowMaster, and BioWin.
  • Construction and operations field experience
  • Shows strong interest in participating in company initiatives.
  • Excellent time management and organizational and management skills with technical staff on multiple, simultaneous projects.

Working Conditions, Skills, and Abilities


This position is primarily technical in nature and requires working inside and outside the office to complete a wide range of activities. The following abilities are required:ย 

  • Move inside or outside the office and on non-ADA accessible construction sites
  • Remain stationary for long periods of time
  • Repetitive movement on tasks such as using a keyboard or mouse
  • Carry, ascend, and descend a ladder

  • Occasionally move or hold equipment weighing up to 50 pounds

Compensation


The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

  • Base Salary: For individuals hired in Colorado, a reasonable estimate of the current range for this role is $111,000 to $130,000 annually.
  • Base Salary Review: This role is eligible to participate in Martin/Martin's annual base salary increase review process.
  • Annual Bonus: This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary annual bonus program.

Base salary review and increases, in addition to annual bonuses, are dependent on various factors, including a hired individual's job-level and annual company performance.ย
