RSM US LLP is looking for a dynamic Pre-Sales Engineer (PSE) Director that will have a primary focus on facilitating the growth of our consulting practice.

The Data Analytics/AI Pre-Sales Engineer (PSE) Director supports sales productivity and deal flow by securing the "technical close" in complex Data Analytics/AI related solutions. Data Analytics/AI services include a variety of solutions including but not limited to Microsoft Fabric, Co-Pilot, Snowflake, Databricks, to name a few. The PSE Director collaborates with sales and delivery resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs and are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers. The PSE Director is responsible for achieving a productivity quota made up of the combined expectations of the sales resources, market, industry, and/or channel supported. The sales territory will encompass pursuits across the nation, and flexible work or partial work from home is acceptable, if preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Works deals assigned to the sales team supported, prioritizing effort based on maximizing total impact on team productivity, or as directed by Practice Leaders or Sales Director
  • Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm
  • Secures input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the customer. Adapts solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support
  • Coordinates closely with internal sales and delivery resources to align solution design with customers' business requirements
  • Secures from customer technical staff commitments needed to ensure a deal's "technical close."
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines, market areas, channel, or teams supported
  • Provides coaching and professional development to team member sales associates in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills
  • Opportunistically pursues additional business development opportunities within clients. Collaborates with sales to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered and advanced
  • Maintain strong relationships with channel team, partner technology specialists, and partner sales executives
  • Keep up with product announcements and sales incentives and programs. Communicate important product changes to consulting and sales teams
  • Assists in development of go-to-market and sales strategies

Accountabilities & Performance Measures:

  • Achieves assigned productivity quotas
  • Maintains deal through-put in early deal-sales process steps
  • Achieves product growth targets for the assigned geography, channel, sales team, or account base
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards
  • Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Previous experience presenting data analytics/AI related software solutions (business-to-business) with a focus on middle market/strategic customer segment
  • Previous presales presentation experience
  • A record of achievement and technical solution expertise in a comparable sales role
  • Product certification, engineering credential, or equivalent technical credential
  • Experience leveraging a CRM tool for report generation and sales tracking

The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $147,000 - $260,700

Individuals selected for this role may be eligible for sales commissions and a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
