Who we're looking for

Toyota's Production Engineering (PE) Paint Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Paint Engineer.

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage equipment installations for new model projects and non-model projects.

Reporting to Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Paint Department's objective to effectively manage capital projects, new model introductions, and provide necessary support to ensure smooth daily operations.

What you'll be doing

  • Support area project planning, equipment procurement, implementation and follow-up

  • Support new model introductions, including equipment modifications, process jigs, etc.

  • Lead competitive improvement projects for local production shop

  • Negotiate scope of work and define roles/responsibilities within the project

  • Identify necessary investment and equipment modifications for capacity increases, model mixes, etc.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Field, Engineering Technology degree or equivalent experience (3 years)

  • Proficient knowledge (intermediate) in MS Office applications (Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting)

  • 2+ years of experience in high volume automotive Paint manufacturing environment, either in TNA Production Engineering or NAMC PE

  • 2+ years of experience with paint equipment installations

Added bonus if you have

  • 2+ years of experience writing equipment specifications

  • 2+ years of experience with Toyota Quality systems (ICS, PPI, ect)

  • 2+ years of experience with AutoCAD or CATIA

  • 2+ years of experience with Ringi development

  • 2+ years of experience in technical industry

  • Knowledge of MS Project
