Job description

Overview System One is working with a manufacturing company in the Tulsa, OK area to hire a Project Engineer/Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Manage continual improvement projects in both manufacturing and office environments.
  • Oversee capital projects for new manufacturing equipment.
  • Facilitate and participate in cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain and fill project hopper; work with Operational Excellence Manager to prioritize projects according to the selection criteria.
  • Organize and deliver project update status reports to project owners and management.
  • Coordinate all projects within operational excellence to achieve annual cost savings goals.
  • Ensure strategic alignment and timely execution of projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Green Belt Lean Six Sigma Certification or other Lean certifications.
  • 3 years of project management training or experience managing capital or continuous improvement projects.
  • Manufacturing experience with metal or high-volume products.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to provide formal reports, calculate ROI, implement metrics, and audit procedures.
  • High proficiency in MS Office software.
  • Experience with industrial coating processes, industrial automation or robotics, roll forming or tube mills is a plus.
  • Ability to manage own projects and champion projects managed by others.
