Electronics Test & Debug Technician – Engineering Services Lab

Schedule: 4/10 (Mon–Thurs) | Location: On-Site

Job Summary

DirectPath Recruiting Services is partnering with a rapidly growing electronics manufacturer to identify an experienced Electronics Test & Debug Technician for their Engineering Services Lab. This role is responsible for performing test, debug, troubleshooting, and verification of complex electronic assemblies using a wide range of programming and diagnostic equipment. The ideal candidate has extensive experience interpreting schematics, engineering documentation, AS9100 requirements, and accurately documenting all test and debug activities.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform test, debug, troubleshooting, and validation of electronic assemblies in accordance with industry standards and customer requirements.

· Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and technical documentation to identify and isolate failures.

· Operate a variety of programming tools, diagnostic instruments, and test equipment.

· Conduct detailed microscope inspections to ensure assemblies meet strict quality and aerospace/defense standards.

· Clean and prepare electronic components using manual and automated cleaning systems.

· Document all test results, failures, defects, and corrective actions with precision and accuracy.

· Follow all procedures within the Quality Management System, including AS9100 program requirements.

· Maintain technical certifications, including eligibility for J-STD-001 with Space Addendum.

· Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times.

· Support engineering and production teams with additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

· Strong knowledge of electronic components, polarity, and circuit functionality.

· Ability to read and interpret customer drawings, schematics, and technical requirements.

· Hands-on experience using test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, programming stations).

· Basic mechanical assembly skills and ability to perform precision, repetitive tasks.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

· Ability to maintain effective working relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

· Ability to lift 35 lbs and safely handle lab/test equipment.

· Eligible for J-STD-001 certification (Space Addendum).

Education & Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Training aligned with AS9100 Quality Program standards.

· 5+ years of hands-on electronics test/debug experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, or engineering lab environment.

· U.S. Citizenship required (due to customer and regulatory requirements).

· Must pass a background check and drug screening.

· Ability to work a 4/10 schedule, Monday–Thursday.
