Our team of doctors, advanced care providers, nurses, therapists and researchers provide the region's most advanced medicine at multiple facilities, campuses, clinics and classrooms. We offer patients convenient access to innovative treatments and advancements that improve the health and overall wellbeing of our community.

Responsibilities

The USA Health Mitchell Cancer Institute is seeking a full time faculty member in the division of Gynecologic Oncology. The successful candidate will be considered for the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor. Responsibilities will be focused on providing specialty care for patients with gynecologic malignancies and complex gynecologic surgical needs and coordination of multidisciplinary care with radiation oncology and other specialties. The division is focused on delivering the highest level of gynecologic oncology care to patients through access to clinical trials, precision medicine and an emphasis on holistic and equitable core delivery.ย 

The division currently consists of two gynecologic oncologists and one advanced practice provider. The practice is largely centered in Mobile AL. with a satellite office in Fairhope, AL, providing care to patients on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay. The division also boasts a basic/ translational research lab housed in the MCI, which provides outstanding research opportunities in the basic science, translational clinical, and population health arenas. The research lab is supported by philanthropic, endowed, and extramural funds.ย 

The division offers the only ACGME approved GYN Oncology fellowship training program in the region providing exceptional education and professional development opportunities. The MCI is transforming medicine along the Gulf Coast providing convenient access to innovative treatments and advancements that improve the health and well being of the community.ย 

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.ย 

Qualificationsย 

- Board certification or eligibility Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncologyย 

- Strong commitment to patient care, clinical research, and medical education

- Ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Salary and benefits will commensurate with experience and qualifications. The academic rank and track will be determined based on the qualifications of the candidate.ย
