Job description

Job Summary
This position is a dual role of Development Program Manager and Technical Account Manager. The Development Program Manager is responsible for leading the development of industry standard server and storage projects. The project must meet time to market and customer specifications. The Program Manager is responsible for the success of the project and must work closely with the customer and internal cross functional teams to plan and execute the project to its successful completion. The other role is the Technical Account Manager is responsible for tracking and driving customer issues to closure. In addition, Technical Account Manager is responsible for growing profitable projects with our large customer through engaging with customer and Foxconn R&D teams on matching customer needs with our capability to develop a win-win solution/product. This position may also grow into a EPM manager role if there are multiple projects requiring multiple managers.
Responsibilities:
Technical Account Manager
1. Primary contact for customer escalations
2. Track/drive customer escalations to satisfactory closure
3. Maintain/Monitor customer relationship on the R&D side to make sure we are their #1 choice when it comes to development needs
4. Engage customer regularly on project needs and matching that with our R&D capability to drive a win-win match.
5. Success measure on positive feedback and growth of profitable customer project profolio.
Engineering Program Manager
6. Develop Review detailed product design documentation (Architectural Block Diagrams, Schematics, Bill of Materials, Programmable devices, Simulation results, etc.) with customer and provide concise feedback to various engineering teams.
7. Collaborate with functional teams (Account Manager, various Engineering teams, supply chain, Production/Manufacturing Manager, etc..) on project expectations and requirements.
8. Lead project and process reviews and sign-off tasks with customers and support teams to critical design deliverables.
9. Participate and manage RFQ (Request for Quote) process
10. Intricate involvement in all steps and aspects of program development, schedule management, cost management, NRE Fee management, risk management and contract management; and provide related process reports accordingly.
11. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team to contribute ideas and insights into project decisions
12. Mitigate risk by identifying critical paths and developing alternate solutions
Special Skills
1. Knowledge of digital, analog, and highspeed design/products fundamentals.
2. Must be action/results oriented, hands-on, self-motivated, detail oriented and organized with the ability to quickly learn processes, procedures and software necessary to manage projects
3. Strong strategic planning, problem solving and troubleshooting and negotiating skills, with the ability to evaluate the long-term implications and unintended consequences of potential solutions.
4. Ability to work effectively under pressure, and flexibility to adapt to fast pace environment and tight schedules.
5. Critical thinking skills with strong business acumen and consideration.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written for sharing ideas with other departments and the customer
7. Skill to communicate ideas and instructions clearly and concisely - written and verbal. Mandarin Chinese language skill is a plus.
8. Proficient computer skills utilizing Office 365: Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Project, PowerPoint
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in EE, CS or Mathematics, or Economy/Finance or in the related field.
  2. Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience as a design, development or test engineer of server/desktop hardware or software products; or 3 - 5 years of new business project manager.
  3. An adaptable and capable Engineering Project Manager with experience and background in Computer Server/Desktop/New Business Project Management, or as a Research and Development Engineer in Server/Desktop Hardware or Software, or Test Engineer for New Product Introduction Development.
  4. The Sr. EPM is responsible for the success of the project by working closely with the customer to understand their product design requirements, and internal cross functional teams to provide and align engineering and cost expectations to execute the design project to its successful completion of manufacturing.
  5. Travel is required in this role.
