What You Will Do:

  • Translate customer body structure challenges into tailored blank solutions using AMTB technologies and ArcelorMittal advanced high-strength steel grades.
  • Perform engineering analyses, including CAE/FEA, structural assessments, cost evaluations, and feasibility studies to optimize designs and support customer programs.
  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs for prototype development, validation testing, program execution, and production launch readiness.
  • Manage multiple vehicle programs and engineering projects concurrently while meeting customer milestones and internal deliverables.
  • Prepare technical presentations and clearly communicate engineering recommendations to customers, management, and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and sustain strong partnerships with OEM engineering teams and industry stakeholders.
  • Improve engineering methods, design standards, product development processes, and AMTB Playbook best practices.
  • Incorporate AI based approach to automation and part design
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support team growth and development.
  • Travel occasionally to customer sites for in-person meetings and to AMTB plants to support project activities.

What You Will Bring:

    • Bachelor’s in Engineering (Mechanical Automotive, Materials, Manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline), master’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive product development, design engineering, vehicle structures, body-in-white engineering, or manufacturing.
    • Experience working with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, or automotive engineering organizations.
    • Strong knowledge of automotive product development, vehicle launch processes, APQP, body structures, crash performance, durability, light-weighting, and manufacturing feasibility.
    • Experience with engineering analysis, structural assessment, design optimization, engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and automotive standards.
    • Familiarity with advanced high-strength steel applications, stamping, welding, CAD, CAE, and automotive manufacturing methods is preferred.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple programs in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across cross-functional and global teams.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, customer-facing, and technical discussion skills with OEM engineering teams and external stakeholders.
    • Proficiency with engineering software, including LS-DYNA for crash analysis, Primer, ANSA, Meta, and AutoForm; CATIA familiarity preferred. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Planner.

    • Salary range: $110,000 - $120,000 annually
