About the Role
We're seeking a Systems Engineer - Controls to support the integration, testing, validation, and launch of advanced automotive electrical and control systems. This is a hands-on engineering position focused on ensuring modules, software, vehicle networks, wiring systems, and electrical components operate seamlessly together throughout the vehicle development process.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with vehicles, solving complex technical problems, and supporting new vehicle programs from development through launch. You'll collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams while playing a key role in vehicle testing, diagnostics, and system validation.
Responsibilities
  • Lead vehicle-level integration and validation of electrical and controls systems.
  • Support prototype, pre-production, and production vehicle builds.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, software, and communication-related issues.
  • Perform vehicle-level testing and validation to ensure system functionality and compliance.
  • Analyze CAN network communications and troubleshoot network-related concerns.
  • Support module programming, software flashing, and vehicle configuration activities.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and drive corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support program milestones and launch activities.
  • Support design reviews, engineering approvals, and product development deliverables.
  • Participate in vehicle testing, data collection, and evaluation activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting automotive electrical systems, controls, vehicle integration, or validation.
  • Experience with vehicle electrical architecture, electronic control modules, and wiring systems.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical and vehicle communication issues.
  • Experience supporting vehicle launch, prototype, or pre-production activities.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CANalyzer, CANoe, or similar CAN network analysis tools.
  • Experience with module software flashing, vehicle configuration, and diagnostics.
  • Experience with CAN network troubleshooting, data logging, and vehicle testing.
  • Knowledge of DFMEA, JIRA, engineering sign-off processes, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience using voltmeters and other electrical diagnostic equipment.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
