ABOUT THE POSITION

The Associate Director, Paid Search & SEO is a senior growth leader responsible for driving revenue impact through a fully integrated search strategy across paid, organic, and conversion ecosystems.


This role goes beyond channel execution. It owns the strategic direction, performance accountability, and evolution of search as a growth engine within a broader marketing system by connecting media, website experience, data, and AI-driven discovery.


You will lead a cross-functional team, influence multi-channel strategy, and serve as a trusted advisor to executive client stakeholders. This role requires a strong point of view on how search is evolving in the AI era and the ability to translate that into actionable strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.


The Associate Director, Paid Search & SEO reports to the Director, Search, and will have 3-4 direct reports.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and grow a high-performing team of PPC and SEO specialists, setting clear expectations and accountability tied to revenue, ROAS, CPA, and pipeline impact
  • Own performance by connecting day-to-day execution to measurable business outcomes, ensuring every initiative drives efficiency and growth
  • Architect and lead integrated search strategy across PPC, SEO, CRO, and AI-driven discovery, aligning efforts to drive qualified traffic, conversion, and revenue
  • Shape the future of search by defining how clients win in AI-driven, zero-click, and evolving SERP environments
  • Influence beyond search by partnering across media, brand, and web teams to maximize total marketing impact and optimize the full customer journey
  • Own investment strategy including keyword development, audience targeting, budget allocation, and content optimization with a relentless focus on return
  • Lead testing and optimization through A/B and multivariate frameworks with clear hypotheses, lift targets, and continuous iteration
  • Drive AI adoption by integrating automation, insights, and emerging capabilities into both strategy and execution
  • Establish measurement frameworks that tie search performance to client KPIs and clearly demonstrate business impact
  • Elevate the work by turning insights, tests, and performance data into scalable playbooks and repeatable wins across teams
  • Own the room as a trusted expert by presenting strategy, performance, and forward-looking recommendations with clarity and confidence to various client stakeholders, including executive audiences
  • Support growth through new business pitches, strategic storytelling, and performance-driven case studies that differentiate Imaginuity’s search practice


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years leading SEM and SEO programs with demonstrated impact on revenue, pipeline, ROAS, and cost-per-acquisition across enterprise clients
  • Agency experience managing multi-vertical enterprise clients with direct accountability to revenue and performance targets
  • In-depth experience in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Search Ads 360, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and enterprise SEO platforms (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog) with the ability to build performance dashboards and translate data into growth opportunities
  • Experience optimizing across local search, mobile-first indexing, and AI-powered discovery to capture high-intent demand across evolving search landscapes
  • Strong foundation in technical SEO, and working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript sufficient to partner effectively with development teams
  • Hands-on experience with CRO methodologies - A/B testing, multivariate testing, and funnel optimization - with the ability to connect on-site performance to broader search outcomes
  • Continuously learning, testing, and applying emerging innovations across PPC, SEO, CRO, and AIO
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams while managing complex, enterprise-level client relationships with accountability to KPIs
