Who will you be working with?

Completes the final assembly of test station mockups.  These are used for demonstration and for training purposes by major commuter train operators. Follows blueprints, verbal and written instructions involved in the final assembly of demonstration mockups.  Notes assembly procedure on a laptop computer since each unit may have variations on the type of components being demonstrated.

What do we want to know about you?

· High School Diploma or GED.

· Uses prints, BOM’s and PSS’s to assembly products.

· Job requires up to 3 years of experience for acceptable proficiency on all job-related tasks.

What will your typical day look like?

· Starting with a blueprint and a finished fabricated mockup, individual is responsible for adding all components and subassemblies to the mockup.

· Mounts dual chamber pneumatic air engine to mockup. 

· Uses drill for mounting holes of the engine, per print.  Uses pliers, wrenches and a host hand tool to assist in the assembly operation.

· Documents procedure into PC along with engine type.

· Mounts a trailing edge and a leading-edge door do to the mockup, again, using a wide variety of tools.  Adjusts as needed to ensure all parts are neatly installed.

· Enables door actuation by hooking the engine up to the doors. May bend and install fixed air lines from the engine to the actuator.  Notes assembly steps and components used for the above step on a PC.

· Inspects final assembly to ensure no nicks or scrapes are evident, all PC documentation is in order.

You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
