Job description

Task Description: The incumbent of this Contractor Maintenance Services task will maintain and repair the Engine Noise Suppression Facility (Hush House) at the Intermediate Level Maintenance Facilities located at Ahmed Al-Jaber Air Base.

Task Requirements:

  1. Perform maintenance requirement actions associated with inspecting, repairing, and preventative maintenance on the Hush House and associated equipment. Complete all source documents, work requests and applicable records/reports. All necessary documentation will be accurate and submitted on time.
  1. Assist in the F-404 & F414 engine and GTC 36-200 Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) testing and calibration efforts.
  1. Assist "I" Level Power Plants work center in engine tear down and build up when required.
  1. Assist the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) Officer-in-Charge in developing, implementing and maintaining a training program for Engine Noise Suppression Facility Operator/Maintainer qualifications.
  1. Support on-the-job training and cross training of KAF personnel.

MINIMUM PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Minimum of four years Intermediate or Depot Level maintenance experience supporting an Engine Test Facility.
  1. Graduate of the Aviation Engine Mechanic 'A' School and a F404 or F414 Engine Repair School or equivalent. If equivalent training is claimed, applicant must submit copies of course descriptions to Commander, Naval Air Systems Command (PMA265-12) for evaluation.
  1. Have a minimum of three years' experience in operation and maintenance of Powerplants/APU Test Stand Facility.
  1. JETI experience preferred.
  1. Familiar with all special tools required for Test Facility/Stand maintenance and engine assembly/disassembly.
  1. Knowledgeable of safety procedures regarding aircraft Powerplants, Test Stands/Facilities.

7. Familiar with F-404-GE-402 & F414-GE-400 Engine Publications.

8. No Security Clearance required.
