Job description

As the engine assembler you will use engine kits to assemble purchased, remanufactured and fabricated parts, to produce a variety of engines crafted to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications. Must work with the safety department to ensure all local, state and federal regulatory agencies requirements are met, OSHA 1910, NFPA, DNR. Must work with the quality department to ensure all quality standards are met.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Follow work instructions, submit PCR for incorrect work instructions, contribute to continuous improvement
  • Team Player, communicate effectively
  • Uses existing procedures and basic problem-solving techniques to define or resolve routine problems
  • Complete daily hoist inspection, daily pallet jack inspection, maintain good housekeeping practices
  • Operate machines such as manual and electric pallet jacks, dyno, hoist, air tools, Cleco machines, torque wrenches, air decay machine, gauges, etc.
  • Utilize various hand tools
  • Achieve and maintain production goals
  • Take materials from pre-made kits to assemble engines
  • Test engines to make sure they meet OEM specifications
  • Deliver finished engines to paint area

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or HiSet (Formerly GED)
  • Regular, predictable and reliable attendance
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Globally Harmonized System (GHS) labels, Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
  • Ability to work with computers and software systems, must wear all personal protective equipment PPE
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stooping, twist, reach, reach overhead
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift up to 30 lbs. frequently, and lift 31-49 lbs. rarely.
  • Work in a non-climate controlled area

Preferred
  • 2 + years of experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment with at least 3 months in production
  • Associate degree: Diesel Technology or Machine Tool and technology
